Debt Recovery & Civil Dispute

For businesses and individuals alike, chasing debts can not only be frustrating but time-consuming. Having to constantly pursue debtors can also be costly and if such debts are not paid, this can have a significant impact on your business.

Whenever a debt recovery dispute arises you should obtain legal advice as soon as possible, noting that strict time limits shall apply to the pursuit of claims.

In most cases, it is advisable to seek to resolve any dispute or claim over any debt amount before formal proceedings are pursued.

The first step is to contact us and provide us with all the relevant information and documents about the debt you wish to collect. We shall then be able to ascertain whether or not your case complies with the legal requirements by Malaysian Law in order to claim a debt.

Then we will check the debtor’s solvency status in order to establish your chances of collecting your debt. Our lawyers can assist you in this respect by providing preliminary advice in relation to your legal rights and the pursuit of the debt owed, as well as by preparing appropriate legal correspondence, including letters of demand to be sent to debtors.

Once the outcome has been studied and the viability of a legal claim has been verified, we would start all the necessary legal procedures.
